Miss World Australia: Η πρώτη υποψήφια με αναπηρικό αμαξίδιο συγκίνησε τους πάντες (Video &Photos)

Είναι η πρώτη γυναίκα που συμμετέχει στον διαγωνισμό ομορφιάς Miss World στην Αυστραλία και κάθεται σε αναπηρικό αμαξίδιο.

«Θέλω η πασαρέλα να γίνει μια ανοιχτή και δίκαιη εμπειρία για όλους», δήλωσε η 26χρονη. «Για κάποιον σε αναπηρικό αμαξίδιο το να μπορεί να διαγωνιστεί είναι σπουδαίο πράγμα. Πραγματικά ελπίζω αυτό να στείλει ένα μήνυμα πως ανεξάρτητα από την φυλή σου, το μέγεθος ή την αναπηρία -ο, τιδήποτε σε κάνει διαφορετικό- είσαι όμορφος», σημείωσε η ίδια, για να καταλήξει: «Θέλω να γίνω παράδειγμα προς μίμηση και να ενθαρρύνω τις νεαρές γυναίκες». «Το αναπηρικό αμαξίδιο δεν με προσδιορίζει ούτε με περιορίζει. Εξακολουθώ να μπορώ να είμαι δυνατή, θηλυκή και όμορφη», δήλωσε η Justine.

Και μπορεί να μην κατάφερε να περάσει στην επόμενη φάση του διαγωνισμού αλλά αυτό δεν την εμποδίζει από το να συνεχίσει να προσπαθεί!

Καθώς σκέφτεται να συμμετάσχει στον διαγωνισμό Miss World’s Beauty, τα έσοδα του οποίου πηγαίνουν στη φιλανθρωπική οργάνωση για παιδιά «Variety».

Η Justine υποφέρει από μια παραμόρφωση στο γόνατο αν και αποφεύγει να μιλάει για το τι ακριβώς της συνέβη και αντιπροσωπεύει την κίνηση «Beauty With a Purpose» για να προωθήσει τους πιο αδύναμους στην κοινωνία και να σπάσει τα στερεότυπα.
